2015 Daytime Red

Whilst there is no doubt our feet will remain firmly planted in the single vineyard expression camp we also, like most fellows, find it hard to resist the urge to tinker. Not so much with the nuts & bolts of our winemaking ethos but more in the “what do you reckon if we have some fun & keep a bit of our 2015 fruit aside, make a few small batches of wine, a bit of stems, some co-fermentation, a bit of carbonic, & leave a barrel or two unsulphured & untopped, with the vision of putting these pieces together”……….

Using the knowledge we have acquired to date about varieties & site could we make something bright, fresh, special & smashable? A killer by the glass wine using attributes of red fruit from Heathcote & the Pyrenees & white grapes from the Yarra? ………
