Location - One hour & 15 minutes drive east of Melbourne, & just over 5 minutes from the township of Woori Yallock
Elevation - Approx. 200m above sea level
Soil type - Deep, free draining, red volcanic clay loam
Aspect & planting direction - The vineyard is north facing & the rows are N/S
Vine age - H Block sauvignon blanc – planted 1991; D Block sauvignon blanc – planted 1985
Management - Conventionally managed with movement in recent years to more sustainable practices via the use of organic fertilisers, integrated pest management etc.
Notes - A cool & thus slow/late ripening, upper Yarra site with outstanding viticultural soils & significant vine age, the entire vineyard is pruned to arched cane, & consistently produces some of the valley’s most revered fruit, making wines of exceptional balance & concentration.
